    EUROMAP started its work for developing OPC UA models for plastics and rubber machines as pure EUROMAP recommendation. In this context EUROMAP 83, 77 and 82.1 are already released. In the meantime, EUROMAP and OPC Foundation have established a joint working group. As consequence, all future publication will be published as both EUROMAP recommendations and OPC Companion Specifications. The latter are the neutral base versions for international adoptions.

  • Spanish manufacturers of plastic and rubber machinery foresee an increase in order intake and turnover by 2021 Spanish manufacturers of plastic and rubber machinery in general are optimistic about the increase in orders that began in September 2020 and which continues in these first months of 2021.
     
    This increase in orders comes from both national demand and international demand, highlighting the purchase of machinery from countries such as the US, Latin America, Turkey, Russia and Asia.

  • Spanish exports from the advanced technology manufacturers sector for plastics and rubber in 2020 decreased by -7.9% compared to 2019  
    Main destination markets
     
    In 2020, France was the first destination market for the sector’s exports, representing 7.4% of the total. They are followed by Germany (6.3%) and Mexico (6.3%).
     
    Of the 10 main markets, the increases in the Netherlands (+ 445.8%) and the United Kingdom (110.1%) stand out. In the opposite direction, there is a decrease in sales to Morocco (-39.0%) and the United States (-36.2%).
